HOME STYLE AND VINTAGE

Starmount Company has been one of Greensboro's premium developers through much of the twentieth century. Starmount Forest or Old Starmount is basically bordered by Wendover Avenue, West Market Street, Holden Road and Friendly Avenue. The prestigious Starmount Country Club was originally completed in 1930.

Logically, the neighborhood expanded out from the core of the city. The homes date back to the late 1930's are mostly located East of Holden Road (on the "downtown side" of the area. In the 1950's, Starmount Forest expanded West of Holden Road. Many of these homes are ranch-style, brick homes.
